Folks, I'm tellin' ya, this Jeremiah fella had a lot to say. C'mon, man! Here's the deal: God told Jeremiah that He was gonna give Baruch, Jeremiah's friend, a great inheritance. That's right, an inheritance! Baruch was a good man who had done a lotta good things, so God was gonna reward him. No malarkey! My father used to say that if you do good, good things happen to you. Well, I'm not joking, God said to Baruch, "Whatsoever you desire of me, I will do it for you." See here, Jack, that's a pretty generous offer, so Baruch naturally said, "What was that?" And God said, "You can have anything you want." Or uh, you know, anything! God said, "Take courage and do it," so Baruch did. Literally! He had the courage to go after what he wanted and he got it. But here's the thing, if you're thinking of doing something bad, not gonna happen. I tell you what, God won't reward it. Excuse me, but that's the truth.
