Listen, Jack, no malarkey here. Here's the deal with Jeremiah 30. The Lord says to Jeremiah that the time of punishment and captivity is almost over. He's gonna restore the fortunes of his people and give them hope and a future. C'mon, man! He's gonna bring them back from every corner of the earth and make them His people again. My father used to say that this is a time of great joy. Literally, the Lord says that He will make a covenant of peace with them and give them security and stability. I'm not joking - this is a great thing! See here, Jack, the Lord will remove their shame and show them His love. What was that? He's gonna give them a great name and be their God and they will be His people. Or uh, you know, it's a beautiful thing. Not gonna happen - this is a promise from the Lord that He will never abandon them. I tell you what, people, it's gonna be a time when He will restore them and make them strong. Excuse me, but it's gonna be like the old days when they were the envy of their neighbors. That's the deal with Jeremiah 30.
