Listen, Jack, here's the deal with Jeremiah 43: The Lord tells Jeremiah to go to Tahpanhes, which is in Egypt, and there he'll give the people a message. My father used to say that the message was something about the Lord bringing Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, to destroy the land. It's a real bummer, folks. No malarkey.

But then the Lord talks about how Pharaoh will be overthrown, so that's a good thing. See here, Jack, the Lord says he's going to punish the people, but he'll also bring them back to the land of Judah. I'm not joking, he literally said that.

And then, excuse me, the Lord says that even if the people don't believe his words, they're still gonna happen. What was that? He's gonna bring Nebuchadnezzar to attack the land of Egypt and then he's gonna bring the people back to Judah. I tell you what, it's not gonna happen if the people don't believe it. C'mon, man!
