Alex: So, tell me a little bit about yourself!

Contestant: Well, I was just reading Jeremiah 43, and it's really interesting.

Alex: [Sighs] Okay, what does it say?

Contestant: Jeremiah 43 tells the story of how God commanded Jeremiah to take Jeremiah's disciple, Baruch, and go to the Temple to read out loud a message from God to the people. The message was a warning against trusting in false gods, and God promised that the people of Judah would be taken captive by the Babylonians if they did not listen.

Alex: [Rolls eyes] Moving on, what are your hobbies?

Contestant: Well, I also read the story of how God told Jeremiah to buy a field in Anathoth and to keep it as a sign of hope for the future when the people would be restored to their land.

Alex: [Exasperated] Any other interests you have?

Contestant: Yes, in Jeremiah 43 God also warned the people of Judah not to follow in the footsteps of the King of Egypt and to stay away from Egypt. God promised that if they stayed away from Egypt, they would be safe from the Babylonian army.

Alex: [Sighs] Please tell me you have something else to talk about?

Contestant: Well, I'm also really interested in the story of how God promised that the people of Judah would eventually be restored to their land and God would restore them to peace and prosperity.
