Alex: "So, tell me a bit about yourself. What do you do for a living?"

Contestant: "I'm a Bible scholar, so I'm really familiar with the book of Jeremiah. Specifically, chapter 3 of Jeremiah talks about how Israel has broken its covenant with God, and how God will punish them for their sins. God promises that if they return to him, they will be forgiven, and he will restore them to their former glory."

Alex: (sighs) "Okay, then. What do you like to do in your free time?"

Contestant: "Well, I like to read and study the Bible. In Jeremiah 3, God calls out the people of Israel for their unfaithfulness and warns them of the consequences of their actions. He encourages them to repent and return to him so that he can forgive them and bring them back into his good graces."

Alex: (exasperated) "Look, I'm sure the Bible contains some interesting stories, but I'd really rather not talk about it. Why don't you tell me about something else?"

Contestant: "Sure, but before I do, I should mention that in Jeremiah 3, God also promises a new covenant with his people, one that will never be broken. This is a reminder of God's everlasting love and faithfulness, no matter how far we may stray from him."

Alex: (sighs again) "Okay, fine. Let's move on...
