Alex Trebek: Alright, so tell me a little bit about yourself!

Contestant: Well, I'm a big fan of the Bible, and I'd like to tell you about the book of Jeremiah.

Alex Trebek: (Sighs) Uh, ok.

Contestant: In Jeremiah 18, God commands the prophet Jeremiah to go down to the potter's house to symbolically explain God's relationship with Israel. God says that He can make Israel as He pleases, like a potter molds clay. If Israel turns away from God, He will destroy them like the potter destroys a clay vessel he doesn't like. But if they turn back to God, He will restore them like the potter remakes a broken vessel.

Alex Trebek: (Rolls eyes) Yes, I see. Anything else?

Contestant: In this chapter, God also commands Jeremiah to give a warning to the people of Judah to repent of their sins or else they will be destroyed.

Alex Trebek: (Sighs heavily) Alright, let's move on to something else.
