Alex Trebek: Okay, so tell me a bit about yourself.

Contestant: Well, I've been studying the Bible lately and Jeremiah 2 is a great chapter to start with!

Alex Trebek: Uh...okay.

Contestant: The chapter starts off with God asking the people why they have forsaken Him, and why they have gone after other gods which are not gods at all. He then proceeds to remind the people of their history with Him, and how He had been so good to them and how they had enjoyed the fertility of the land. He also speaks of how the people have rejected Him and gone after false gods instead, and how they have filled the land with wickedness and violence.

Alex Trebek: Uh...right. So, what else do you like to do in your free time?

Contestant: Well, I also like to read the Bible and summarize it chapter by chapter. For example, Jeremiah 3 talks about the people's unfaithfulness to God and the consequences that come with it. God speaks of how He has been cast off like a rejected and broken vessel, and how they have gone against His commands and turned to false gods. He speaks of the punishment that will come if they don't repent.

Alex Trebek: Look, I really don't want to hear about the Bible. Can we talk about something else?
