Alex Trebek: Thanks for joining us today! So, tell me about yourself!

Contestant: Well, I'm a huge fan of the Bible, and I'd love to give you a summary of Jeremiah 35.

Alex Trebek: *sighs* Alright, if you insist.

Contestant: The chapter begins with the Lord giving Jeremiah a message for the Rechabites. He instructs Jeremiah to bring them to the house of the Lord and offer them wine, which they refuse. The Lord then uses this as an example of how the Israelites should have obeyed him, but instead they have been disobedient. He then tells Jeremiah to tell the Rechabites that because of their obedience, they will always have a place in the Lord's house.

Alex Trebek: *rolls eyes* Uh huh. Anything else?

Contestant: Yes, the Lord also says that because of the Rechabites' obedience, their descendants will continue to enjoy the blessings of his house. He then goes on to say that because the Israelites have not listened to him, they will be exiled from their land and will suffer.

Alex Trebek: *yawns* Great. Is that it?

Contestant: Yes, that's it for Jeremiah 35.
