Contestant: Well, I'm a big fan of the Bible, and I'd like to tell you about the fifth chapter of the Book of Jeremiah.

Alex Trebek: Uh, that's great, but...can we talk about something else?

Contestant: Sure, but let me just say that in Jeremiah 5, God is angry with the people of Judah and Jerusalem because they have forsaken him and committed all sorts of sins. He sends Jeremiah to search the city and he finds no one who understands and seeks after God. So, he tells them that God will send a fierce nation to punish them for their sin.
