Folks, I'm gonna tell you what: Jeremiah 36 is a powerful chapter. My father used to say, if we can learn one thing from this chapter it's that no malarkey, you can't just take the word of God for granted. See here, Jack, God spoke to Jeremiah and told him to write down his words on a scroll and have it read to the people of Judah. So Jeremiah did just that, literally, and it was read to the people. But you know what? They didn't like it. So the king had the scroll taken away, and Jeremiah had to rewrite it. C'mon, man! I'm not joking. So you can guess what happened next: Jeremiah's words were read to the people a second time, and the king was so angry, he had the scroll destroyed. Or uh, you know, the king's men destroyed it. But that's not the end of the story. God told Jeremiah to write down the words on another scroll, and so he did. So that's the lesson here, folks: God's word will always be heard. It's not gonna happen – he'll make sure of that. Excuse me, what was that? Yes, God's word will be heard. No matter what.
