Peter: Alright, so Genesis 9. So God's like, "Hey, I'm gonna make a covenant with you guys, I'm gonna promise never to destroy the earth with a flood again. Also, I'm gonna give you this rainbow as a sign of my promise".

Lois: Oh wow, so like, the rainbow is like a symbol of hope and faith?

Peter: Yeah, but also, God said that every living creature is going to be terrified of us humans and that we can eat meat as long as we drain the blood out of it first.

Brian: Ugh, so gross. But at least we got the rainbow, right?

Peter: Right. And then God blessed Noah and his family and told them to be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.

Cleveland: Hey, that's like what the aliens said in that old Will Smith movie, Independence Day!

Peter: Yeah, I guess it is. Anyways, God also gave Noah and his descendants the power to punish anyone who commits murder with death.

Lois: Wow, so God was really serious about protecting human life.

Peter: Yeah, and then he gave Noah and his family a special blessing and said that their descendants will be blessed and spread out all over the world.
