Lois: Alright, so what's happening in Genesis 26?

Peter: Well, Lois, it looks like Isaac is getting some special treatment from God in this chapter. God tells him that he and his descendants will be blessed and will have lots of land.

Lois: Wow, that's pretty cool!

Peter: Yeah, it sure is! Then Isaac's neighbours start to get jealous of his blessings and start to quarrel with him. So Isaac moves to a different place and sets up camp.

Lois: Hmm, I wonder what happened then?

Peter: Well, after he moves, God appears to him again and tells him that he's still blessed and that he'll be able to grow crops in the land. So Isaac then digs wells in order to have water to water the crops.

Lois: That's great! So did anything else happen?

Peter: Yeah, sure did! The King of the Philistines heard about Isaac's success and tried to get him to move away from the area. But Isaac refused and instead, the King made a covenant with him. So then Isaac stayed and continued to prosper.

Lois: That's really cool! So what happens in the end?

Peter: Well, in the end, Isaac and his descendants are blessed with wealth and prosperity. Also, the Philistines are scared of Isaac and his family and so they don't mess with them anymore. That's about it!
