Peter: Alright, so this is the book of Genesis, Chapter 8.
Lois: Uh-huh.
Peter: So after the flood, God remembered Noah and all the animals and said to Noah, "Go out of the ark, you and your wife, your sons, and your sons' wives with you."
Lois: Uh-huh.
Peter: So Noah did just that, and he sacrificed some of the clean animals and birds to God.
Lois: Oh, like a scene from Lord of the Rings!
Peter: Yeah, kind of. Then God was pleased with the sacrifices, so He said, "I will never again curse the ground for man's sake, and I will never again allow a flood to destroy the earth."
Lois: So much for the "water world" sequel, I guess.
Peter: Right, and then God established a covenant with Noah, and He said, "I will establish my covenant with you, and all flesh shall never again be cut off by the waters of a flood."
Lois: Wow, so God was really serious about not flooding the world again.
Peter: Yeah, He was. And as a sign of His covenant, He set a rainbow in the sky.
Lois: That's so cool!
Peter: I know. And that's pretty much the end of chapter 8.
