Peter: Alright, so Ezekiel 31—Ezekiel was like a prophet guy, right?

Lois: Uh, yeah, Peter.

Peter: Anyways, it's about how the Pharaoh of Egypt is like a big, tall tree that reaches up to the sky, but then God cuts it down, like a big ol' lumberjack.

Quagmire: You mean like when Charlie Sheen chopped down that Christmas tree in 'Platoon'?

Peter: Yeah, kinda like that! But also, God is like comparing the Pharaoh to a cedar tree, too.

Lois: Wow, that's a pretty vivid metaphor.

Peter: Yeah, and then God's like, "this tree will never grow again," and then He sends it down to the underworld, where it's gonna stay forever.

Quagmire: Wow, sounds like a real bummer.

Lois: Yeah, I guess it's God's way of saying that the Pharaoh will never have any power again.

Peter: Yeah, and then at the end of the chapter, God talks about how everyone will be sad when the Pharaoh dies, and then He says that it's gonna be a sign to everybody that He's the one true God.

Quagmire: Sounds like a pretty heavy chapter!

Lois: Yeah, definitely!
