Peter: Alright, you guys, it's time for the summary of Ezekiel 44!

Lois: Oh boy, I can't wait to hear it!

Peter: Alright, so in Ezekiel 44, God is talking to the prophet Ezekiel and says that He will set apart the temple for Himself and the Levitical priests will be the ones to serve in it. He also says that only the descendants of Zadok will be in charge of the offices in the temple. Then He goes on to explain the different kinds of clothing they will have to wear while they are serving and the different kinds of animals they can sacrifice.

Brian: Wow, sounds like a real snooze-fest.

Peter: Well, that's not all. God also says that none of the other tribes of Israel can enter the temple, but only the Levites. He then talks about how the offerings that are brought in to the temple must be pure and not tampered with in any way.

Meg: Is that it?

Peter: Pretty much. Then God's like, 'oh, and by the way, don't let any foreigners come in either.' It's like He's saying, 'keep it all in the family.'

Stewie: Oh, I get it. It's like that movie The Godfather, where Marlon Brando says, "Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer."

Lois: Oh Stewie, that's not what it means at all.
