Peter: Okay, so Ezekiel 19, like all the other chapters, is about God's wrath. But this one does it in the form of a lament for a lioness and her cubs.

Lois: So, like, God is mad at some lionesses?

Peter: Yeah, he's mad at the leaders of Israel for their sins. He's saying that their leaders are like lions who have been taken away from their cubs.

Cleveland: Well, that sounds kinda sad.

Peter: Yeah, I guess so. But then God goes on to say that he's gonna bring them back and make them strong again, like a lioness who has recovered her cubs.

Brian: So God's basically like a lioness rescuing her cubs?

Peter: Exactly! And then he goes on to say that he's gonna do this to the Israelites too - he's gonna bring them back to their land and restore their kingdom.

Quagmire: Wow, that's pretty cool. Like, God's a real-life lioness protecting her cubs.

Peter: Uh, yeah, I guess so. But then he says that if they don't obey him, he's gonna turn them into a joke and everyone will laugh at them.

Lois: Wow, that's a little harsh.

Peter: Yeah, God's wrath can be pretty severe. But then he ends it by saying that he's gonna restore their kingdom and bring them back to the land that he promised them.

Cleveland: All right, so we've got a lioness, cubs, wrath, and restoration.

Peter: Yeah, that about sums it up!
