Peter: Alright, so this is Isaiah 1.

Lois: What's it about?

Peter: Well, God is mad at the people of Israel for their wickedness and all their sacrifices are meaningless to Him. He's like, "Stop offering up sacrifices. Instead, do what's right and just, help the poor and needy, treat others like you want to be treated, and learn to do good. Otherwise, I'm gonna be mad at you like I'm mad at your leaders and rulers."

Lois: Wow. So pretty heavy stuff.

Peter: Yeah, I mean it's like, "You know how you make me mad, Meg? This is how God is mad at the people of Israel."

Lois: Yeah, that's a pretty good analogy, Peter.

Peter: But then He's like, "If you do what I'm telling you to do, I'll be like, 'Hey, I'm your Father and I'm proud of you. I'll pay attention to your prayers and make sure you're taken care of.'"

Lois: That's really sweet.

Peter: Yeah, and then He's like, "And I'm gonna make sure you're never defeated when you go to battle. I'm gonna be with you every step of the way."

Lois: So He's basically like a superhero.

Peter: Yeah, like Iron Man or something. I mean, He's like, "I'm gonna take away your enemies and make sure you're safe."
