Good evening, I’m Norm MacDonald, and this is Weekend Update. In the Bible this week, Isaiah 1 tells us about God’s disappointment with Judah and Jerusalem. It seems God is not impressed with the sacrifices and offerings they’ve been giving him. →

Joe: Alright, so what do you got for us in Isaiah 1? Bible Expert: Well, Isaiah 1 is a message from God through the prophet Isaiah to the people of Judah and Jerusalem. It starts by God expressing his anger and disappointment in the people for their rebellious and wicked behavior, and for their rituals and festivals becoming meaningless. →

Alex: "So, tell me a bit about yourself!" Contestant: "Well, I recently finished reading the book of Isaiah in the Bible. It's a really powerful book and contains a lot of important lessons. One of the main messages is that God punishes wrongdoing but is ready to forgive if his people turn back to him. →

"LISTEN UP, RECRUITS! Isaiah 1 tells us how God is fed up with his people's sin and worship of false gods. He tells them to stop their evil practices and to learn to do what is right. He calls on Jerusalem to repent and turn back to the Lord. →

Robin: Holy Bible Stories, Batman! What do you make of Isaiah 1? Batman: It's a doozy, Robin. In Isaiah 1, the prophet Isaiah is telling the people of Judah that God is displeased with their wickedness and their lack of faith. →
