Lois: Alright, what's the summary for Isaiah 3?

Peter: Oh, boy. Uh, let's see here. It says that God is punishing Jerusalem with famine and war, because the people have been wicked.

Lois: Wow, that sounds pretty serious.

Stewie: Yes, indeed. It says that the judges and rulers of the city will be stripped of their power, and the people will be oppressed.

Brian: That's terrible! It also says that the women will be affected, too. They'll be walking around with no jewelry, no fancy clothes, and no makeup.

Lois: That's horrible.

Peter: Yeah, and then it says that the people will be so desperate for food that they'll even start eating their own children.

Lois: Oh my God!

Stewie: That's not all. It also says that God will bring a great army to punish the wickedness of the people.

Brian: That's pretty intense.

Lois: It sure is. I guess God really means business.

Peter: Yeah, but don't worry. God will show mercy to those who repent and turn away from their wickedness. So, there's still hope for Jerusalem.

Lois: That's good to hear.

Stewie: Yeah, and then it says that God will send a messenger to bring good news and restore the people's fortunes.

Brian: That's encouraging.

Lois: It sure is. So, there's still a chance for the people of Jerusalem to turn things around.

Peter: You bet. All they have to do is repent and turn away from their wickedness, and God will show them mercy.
