Peter: Alright, Isaiah Chapter 40...”Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.” (Peter pauses for a moment, then turns to the audience) Hey, remember when Meg tried out for that singing contest and got booed? That was a real bummer.

Lois: Peter! This is serious.

Peter: Oh right, sorry. So, God's telling his people to be comforted. He's telling them to speak comfortably to Jerusalem, to cry unto her that her warfare is accomplished and that her iniquity is pardoned. And then he says that a voice of one crying in the wilderness...

Brian: Like that crazy guy who used to always hang out near Quagmire's house?

Lois: Brian!

Brian: Sorry.

Peter: Anyways, God says a voice will cry out that the way of the Lord is made straight. And then God says he will give strength to the weary, and power to them that have no might.

Lois: Just like that time Meg got that job at the mall!

Peter: Yeah! She was so excited.

Brian: And then she got fired a week later.

Lois: Brian!

Peter: So, God says he'll give strength to the weary and power to them that have no might. He says he'll increase strength to them that have it, and that they shall mount up with wings like eagles, and they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.

Lois: Just like that time Stewie ran a marathon and didn't get tired?

Peter: Yeah, that was pretty impressive.

Brian: Even more impressive was when he ran the marathon in reverse and still didn't get tired.

Lois: Brian!
