Brian: Alright, so Matthew 19. Yeah, this chapter is definitely a doozy.

Peter: What happened?

Brian: Well, it starts with Jesus talking to his disciples about marriage and divorce. He said it's only okay to divorce if your spouse is unfaithful.

Lois: That seems pretty reasonable.

Brian: Yeah, then some people asked him about being able to inherit eternal life. Jesus tells them that if they want to enter the kingdom of God, they must obey the commandments.

Peter: Like "Thou shalt not watch Jersey Shore"?

Brian: Uh, no, not quite. Then a rich young man comes to Jesus and asks him what he must do to inherit eternal life. Jesus tells him to sell all of his possessions and give the money to the poor.

Lois: That's a pretty tall order.

Brian: Yeah, but then Jesus says that if you can't do that, then it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.

Peter: Wow, that's a pretty harsh thing to say.

Brian: Yeah, but then his disciples are like, "If it's that hard, then who can be saved?" And Jesus says that with God, all things are possible.

Lois: That's a nice reminder.

Peter: Yeah, I guess so. I mean, it's better than being told to watch Jersey Shore.
