Peter: Alright, in Matthew 18, Jesus is talking about how to deal with disputes among members of the Christian community. He says if someone sins against another, they should go to them privately and try to work it out.

Quagmire: Yeah, but if that doesn't work, then you gotta take it up with a bunch of witnesses and then, if that doesn't work, take it to the church.

Lois: Wait, what?

Brian: Yeah, basically Jesus is saying if you have a problem with someone, you should try to work it out with them first, but if you can't, then you should bring a few people to help you talk it out.

Peter: Yup, and if that still doesn't work, then it's time to bring it to the whole church.

Stewie: But wait, what if it's still not resolved?

Chris: Then Jesus says that you should treat them like they're a pagan or a tax collector.

Lois: Wow, that's kind of harsh.

Peter: Yeah, it's definitely not a step you should take lightly. But Jesus says it's important to try to keep the peace in the community.
