Lois: Alright, this is Numbers 15. So, Peter, what does it say?

Peter: Uh, it says that the Lord spoke to Moses, saying that when the Israelites enter the Promised Land, they must offer peace offerings with bread made without yeast.

Lois: Interesting. What else?

Peter: It also says that if anyone sins unintentionally, they must offer a young bull as a sin offering.

Lois: Sounds like a lot of people were breaking the rules back then.

Peter: Yeah, I guess. Also, it says that if a whole group sins unintentionally, then they must offer a goat as a sin offering.

Lois: Sounds like there was a lot of sinning in the Promised Land.

Peter: Yeah, but then it says that if an individual sins unintentionally, they must offer a female lamb or a young pigeon as a sin offering.

Lois: Wow, so the punishments really varied depending on the size of the sin.

Peter: Yeah, but that's not all. It also says that if someone does something willfully, he must be cut off from his people.

Lois: That's harsh, but I guess it was a different time.

Peter: Oh yeah, and it says that anyone who eats something with yeast must be cut off from his people, too. Just like in the movie "Footloose"!
