Peter: Alright, so Numbers 14. So, uh, the Israelites get mad at God and Moses and they decide to go back to Egypt, but God says no way, Jose. So, uh, He sends a plague of giant frogs, and then sends a bunch of other plagues. But the Israelites keep being, like, "oh no, let's just go back to Egypt, pleeeease". But God's like, "Nah, I'm good"
Lois: Ooh, sounds like a classic case of God saying, "You can't always get what you want".
Brian: Yeah, but the Rolling Stones were right, you can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you get what you need.
Stewie: Wow, that's so profound, Brian. I never thought of it that way.
Peter: Anyway, God's all, "No, you can't go back to Egypt, and if you do, you'll just die out there in the desert". So, uh, then He sends a few more plagues and then He gives them a test. It's like, "Do you trust me or not?" But the Israelites aren't convinced, so they fail the test and God's like, "You guys are not allowed to enter the Promised Land".
Lois: That's too bad, Peter. Sounds like they should have just trusted God.
Brian: Yeah, and it's a good lesson for all of us. You can't always get what you want, but if you trust in God, you'll get what you need.
Stewie: Yeah, I guess that's true. But, uh, can we get back to the summary now?
