Peter: Alright, so Deuteronomy Nine starts out with God telling the Israelites that they need to remember how the Amorites, who had iron chariots, were more powerful than them.

Lois: Right, and then God said the Israelites didn't win because of their own power, but because God was with them.

Stewie: Wow, God must have been pretty awesome if he could beat iron chariots!

Brian: Yeah, and then God said he would drive out more powerful nations to give the Israelites the land - like the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.

Peter: And then God said the Israelites had to be careful not to think they were better than other nations because they had the land.

Lois: Right, so they shouldn't forget that God is the one who gave them the land.

Stewie: That's like when two kids are fighting over a toy at the playground and their mom comes and says, "Hey, I'm the one who bought that toy, so I get to decide who gets to play with it!"

Brian: Yeah, except in this case, it's God saying it. Anyway, God then said that the Israelites should remember that he was the one who gave them the land, and that it was a sign of his favor.
