Peter: Alright, this chapter is Leviticus 27. It's all about, uh, what do you call it, Meg?

Meg: Tithes of the land, dad.

Peter: Right, tithes of the land. So, basically it's saying that the Israelites had to give 10 percent of their crops and all that good stuff. And the Lord, uh, what do you call it Lois?

Lois: Set a valuation system, Peter.

Peter: Right, a valuation system, so that certain things were worth more or less than others. Like, if you had an animal or something, you could exchange it for some of the crops. It's like an ancient version of Monopoly, but with real stakes!

Chris: Yeah...unless you land on 'Go to Jail!'

Peter: Haha, that's right! Anyways, there's some other stuff about dedicating your kids to the Lord. I guess it's like a baptism, but with a bigger commitment.

Brian: Sounds like a real blast.

Peter: Yeah, I guess it wasn't so much fun back then. But at least it's part of the Bible, so we still get to talk about it!
