Leviticus 27: A real barn-burner of a chapter if I ever saw one. We start with a lesson in currency, as the Lord gives instructions on how to calculate the value of a person based on their age and gender. Then, in a move that's sure to benefit the real-estate market, He lays down the law on the sale of land and houses. Next, the Lord explains that animals who are devoted to Him can't be redeemed, only exchanged for money. Finally, we get a lesson on the value of household items, like furniture and tools. I'm sure it was riveting for everyone who was around back then, but nowadays it's a snore.
