Listen, Jack, here's the deal. No malarkey, my father used to say, Abraham was tested by God. He was asked to sacrifice his son Isaac, and he was gonna do it—literally. See here, Jack, God wanted to see if Abraham was devoted to Him, so he said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering." And Abraham was like, "C'mon, man, I'm not joking, I'll do whatever you say." But then God said, "Nah, just kidding, I was only testing you," and Abraham was like, "What was that? Excuse me, not gonna happen." So, I tell you what, God provided a ram to be sacrificed instead. So, uh, you know, Abraham was saved from sacrificing his son and was blessed by God. And that's the story of Genesis 22.
