Hey, folks! Here's the deal, chapter 49 of Genesis. Jacob, bless his heart, he's been through a lot. You know, like my father used to say, "You can't judge a book by its cover." Well, that's what Jacob's sons were doing. C'mon, man! No malarkey! They were trying to decide who was the most important among them. But, I'm not joking, Jacob had something else in mind. He wanted to share his final blessing with each of his sons. See here, Jack, he wanted to make sure that each of his boys knew that they were loved. Literally, he gave them all a special gift. But, what was that? Well, it's a bit complicated. Each son received a blessing that was special to his individual character. Jacob was making sure that each of his sons was going to have a prosperous future. Or, uh, you know, he wanted them to have a good life. Now, I tell you what, there's no way he could have done that if his sons hadn't been willing to listen to his wisdom. No way, no how! Not gonna happen. Excuse me, but that's the way it is.
