Batman: Robin, let us read Psalms 27.

Robin: Right you are, Batman! It says, "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"

Batman: Fear is the enemy of justice, Robin. The psalmist continues, "When evildoers assail me to devour my flesh-- my adversaries and foes-- they shall stumble and fall."

Joker (interrupting): Ha ha! You won't find me stumbling and falling!

Batman: No, Joker, we won't! The psalmist goes on to say, "Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war rise up against me, yet I will be confident."

Robin: That's right, Batman. The psalmist also says, "One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple."

Batman: A wise sentiment, Robin. We should all seek to be close to the Lord. The psalmist concludes by saying, “For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock.”

Joker: Hehe, I don't think I'll be getting any lifts from the Lord, Batman!

Batman: No, Joker, you won't. But the psalmist gives us all hope when we are in trouble.
