Hey, folks, it's Norm MacDonald here for a look at the book of Genesis. This week, we've got a chapter about a dude named Joseph, who, uh, is sold into slavery in Egypt by his brothers. But, hey, it all works out for him, because he ends up managing the household of a powerful official. So, uh, the moral of the story is, if you get sold into slavery, it might be worth it in the end. Anyway, Joseph ends up being falsely accused of some wrongdoing, but the official believes Joseph's side of the story and lets him go. Y'know, because he's a nice guy. Ah, but Joseph's brothers, who sold him into slavery, don't have such a happy ending. They end up having to buy food from Joseph, who, at this point, is in charge of all the food in Egypt. So, uh, if you're gonna sell your brother into slavery, you might wanna make sure he's not gonna be in charge of the food supply.
