Good evening, I'm Norm MacDonald and this is Weekend Update with a summary of Genesis 47. So, it turns out Joseph had been a little busy during his time in Egypt. He's been administering the corn tax, and the Egyptians have been giving him their land and livestock in exchange for food. So, Joseph's like the Uber of the ancient world, except he's got a lot more power than just a five-star rating. With all the land and livestock under his control, Pharaoh names Joseph the governor of Egypt. Not too shabby for a guy sold into slavery by his brothers. Finally, Joseph reveals his identity to his family and they come to live in Egypt. And that's the bible summary of Genesis 47.
