Alex Trebek: So, tell me about yourself!

Contestant: Well, I've been reading the Bible recently and I wanted to tell you about this chapter, Psalms 83.

Alex Trebek: (Sighing) Alright, if you must. What is it about?

Contestant: Psalms 83 is a prayer to God asking Him to protect Israel from their enemies. The enemies mentioned in the chapter are the Edomites, Ishmaelites, Moabites, Hagarenes, Gebalites, Ammonites, Amalekites, and Philistines. The prayer is for God to confound these enemies, to make them ashamed and perish, and to make them like a wheel that is broken and cannot be repaired.

Alex Trebek: Sounds interesting, I guess. Anything else?

Contestant: Yes, it also mentions that the enemies of Israel have formed an alliance against them and that they have created a plan to wipe out the name of Israel from the earth. The prayer concludes by asking for God to arise and judge the nations and to make His name known through the nations.

Alex Trebek: (Clearly exasperated) Wonderful...well, let's move on to something else.
