Alex: "All right, so what did you do over the summer? Any fun plans?"
Contestant: "Oh, I summarized the Bible chapter by chapter. In Psalms 15, we learn that the Lord is looking for someone who lives with integrity and justice, and will not tolerate evil. They must speak the truth from their heart, and not slander others. They must not harm their neighbors or take part in any wicked schemes. Finally, they must keep their word, even when it is difficult.”
Alex: (sighs) "That's...really nice. But, you know, there's a lot more to life than just the Bible. What else did you get up to this summer?"
Contestant: "Oh, that's right, I also read Psalms 16. In that chapter, we learn that God is our strength and our hope. He will protect us and guide us through our lives. We should always put our trust in Him and He will give us joy and peace.”
Alex: (sighs again, exasperated) "Yes, yes, that's great. But I'm sure you did other things as well."
Contestant: "Oh, I did. I also read Psalms 17. In that chapter, we learn that God is our defender and we should seek His protection and guidance. We should trust in Him and rely on His strength. He will keep us safe and give us the desires of our hearts.”
Alex: (now officially exasperated) "Yes, yes, alright. That's wonderful. Anything else?"
Contestant: "Oh, just one more! Psalms 18. In that chapter, we learn that God is our refuge and our strength. He will save us from our enemies and deliver us from all evil. He will protect us and give us joy and peace.”
Alex: (at his wit's end) "Yes, yes. That's...great. Can we move on now?"
