Peter: Alright, so John 16. So, uh, Jesus is, like, saying his final goodbyes to his disciples, right? He's like, warning them that they're gonna have a tough time ahead, but they should, like, go forth and spread the word of God, yada yada.

Lois: But wait, what about the Holy Spirit?

Peter: Oh yeah, Jesus is saying that when he goes away, the Holy Spirit will come, and it will be like an advocate for the disciples. Sorta like a lawyer, ya know?

Stewie: Like Law and Order?

Peter: Yeah, sure. But Jesus is really just telling his disciples that he won't be there to help them, but the Holy Spirit will be.

Brian: So, what else is in this chapter?

Peter: Uh, Jesus tells his disciples that he's gonna leave them and go away, but he'll come back someday. He also says that they should be of good cheer, because he's gonna do some stuff that's gonna help them out.

Lois: And what kind of stuff?

Peter: Well, Jesus says he's gonna send the Holy Spirit to help guide them and be with them. He also says he's gonna show them the way to eternal life.

Brian: Wow. That's pretty deep.

Peter: Yeah. It's pretty serious stuff. Jesus is saying goodbye to his disciples, and he's giving them one last message. I guess it's kind of like a pep talk for them.

Lois: Well, I'm sure it was a comfort to them.

Stewie: Yeah, it's like when Iron Man said "I love you 3000" to the Avengers. And then he flew off into the sky. *weeps*
