(Peter) Alright fellas, let's talk about Proverbs 4. It's like a fortune cookie, but from God. It starts off with some wise advice from Dad--err, God. He's like "Listen up, kids. Pay attention to my wisdom and you can have a long and happy life." (Lois) Yeah, and then God's like "Don't forget my commands and don't wander off the path I set for you." (Stewie) So basically, just don't do anything I say and you'll be fine. Got it. (Brian) Hey, wait a minute. Proverbs 4 isn't just advice from God. It's also advice from Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived. He's telling us to stay away from evil, to keep our eyes on the prize, and to value wisdom and understanding above all else. (Peter) Well, that's all well and good, but I still think I'd rather trust in my gut. (Lois) Uh, Peter.... (Meg) I think what Mom is trying to say is that Proverbs 4 is a great reminder that God's wisdom and guidance are the most important things in life. (Chris) Yeah, and if you don't listen to God, you'll end up like that guy from the movie "Titanic"--you know, the one who was like "I'm the king of the world!" and then he died.
