(Peter) Alright, so Mark 9 starts off with Jesus and his disciples climbing up a mountain and Jesus is transfigured in front of them, like that one episode of Stranger Things where Eleven goes all glowy.

(Stewie) Ha! Yeah, like a super saiyan!

(Brian) Anyway, then Jesus is talking to Moses and Elijah and Peter kinda loses it and suggests that they should just camp out there and never leave.

(Lois) Yeah, that sounds about right for Peter.

(Peter) Hey, I just wanted to stay in the awesomeness!

(Chris) Then a cloud appears, and God's voice speaks out of it and says that Jesus is His son and they should listen to him.

(Peter) Wow, that's like that one scene from The Lion King when Mufasa appears in the clouds.

(Stewie) But then Jesus and the disciples come down from the mountain and he tells them not to tell anyone about it.

(Peter) That's like when the government tells the Avengers not to talk about what happened in New York.

(Quagmire) Then Jesus is healing people left and right, and casting out demons, which is like that one episode of Supernatural.

(Brian) Yeah, and then there's this one guy who's son is possessed and Jesus is like, "If you can believe, all things are possible."

(Peter) Yeah, and then they all believe and the son is healed. It's like that episode of Full House when Joey heals the sick kid.

(Stewie) Finally, Jesus and the disciples are on their way to Jerusalem and Jesus is telling them what's gonna happen.

(Lois) He's predicting His own death, like that one episode of The Simpsons where Bart goes to the future.

(Chris) Yep, and then the chapter ends with Jesus telling them that anyone who wants to be His disciple has to deny themselves and take up their cross.

(Peter) Whoa, like that one episode of Spongebob when he has to sacrifice the Krabby Patty for the greater good.
