Lois: Alright, kids, let's talk about the Bible. We're onto Mark 11.

Peter: Wait, isn't that where Jesus cursed the fig tree and then it withered?

Lois: Yes, that's right. So Jesus and his disciples entered Jerusalem, and Jesus entered the temple and threw out those who were buying and selling there.

Chris: Like a boss!

Brian: Chris, that's not really the point.

Lois: Yeah, anyway, Jesus then cursed the fig tree and it withered away. The next day, when the disciples saw the withered tree, they were amazed. Jesus then talked to them about faith and said that if they have faith, they can move mountains.

Peter: Hey, like the song from 'Frozen'!

Lois: Sure, Peter, whatever you say. So then the disciples entered the temple again and some of the people asked Jesus by what authority he did all these things. He didn't answer them directly and instead told them a parable.

Stewie: Ooh, a parable! I love parables!

Lois: Yes, it was about a man who had two sons and he asked them to work in his vineyard, and one son said yes and the other said no.

Stewie: I get it, it's a metaphor for how some people say they will follow God but don't.

Lois: Exactly. Jesus then finishes up the chapter by talking about a wicked tenant and the owner of the vineyard.

Peter: Hey, that reminds me of 'The Godfather'!

Brian: Peter, you really need to stop making these pop culture references.
