1-15
Peter: Alright, so this chapter is all about Jesus.
Lois: Ah, so it's like The Passion of the Christ, but without all the violence.
Brian: No, it's more like Jesus Christ Superstar with a dash of The Greatest Showman.
Stewie: Ugh, I'm so over musicals. Let's just get to the summary.
Peter: Alright, so the chapter starts off with a quote from the prophet Isaiah.
Brian: Ah, so it's like the opening scene of Star Wars, but with a Bible twist.
Lois: Isaiah is basically saying that Jesus is the Messiah.
Stewie: Then it moves on to John the Baptist, who was a pretty wild dude. He was preaching in the desert and baptizing people.
Peter: Yeah, and he said that Jesus was the one who was gonna take away everybody's sins.
Brian: So it's kind of like the Red Wedding from Game of Thrones, but with a positive outcome.
Lois: Then Jesus comes onto the scene and he's baptized by John.
Stewie: After that, the heavens opened up and the Holy Spirit came down like an angel in the form of a dove.
Peter: And then God's voice was heard saying, "You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased."
Brian: So it's like God is the dad in The Incredibles, but with a bit more gravitas.
Lois: Then the Spirit drove Jesus into the desert, where he was tested by the devil.
Stewie: But Jesus resisted his temptations, so the devil had to scram.
Peter: And when Jesus came back from the desert, he started preaching and healing people.
Brian: It's like Jesus is the hero in a superhero movie, but he's using the power of faith instead of superpowers.
Lois: So that's the end of the chapter.
Stewie: Yeah, and I think I'm starting to get into this Bible stuff.
