Joe: Alright, so what have we got for chapter 9 in the Book of Mark?
Bible Expert: Well, in the ninth chapter of Mark the disciples ask Jesus when the Kingdom of God will come, and Jesus responds that it will come with power, but that some standing there will not see it.
Joe: What do you mean by that?
Bible Expert: Well, Jesus is saying that some of his closest followers will not see the Kingdom of God come in their lifetime.
Joe: That's crazy!
Bible Expert: Yes, it is. Jesus then goes on to talk about his death, and he says that some of his followers will not taste death until they see the Kingdom of God.
Joe: Wow, that's intense.
Bible Expert: Yes, it is. Jesus then tells them to not be led astray by false prophets and teaches them about the power of faith. He also teaches them about forgiveness and how to deal with people who sin against them.
Joe: That's heavy stuff.
Bible Expert: Yes, it is. Later in the chapter, Jesus heals a boy with a demon, and then he talks about the importance of humility.
Joe: That makes sense.
Bible Expert: Yes, it does. Jesus then talks about how difficult it is to enter the Kingdom of God, and he says that it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone rich to enter the Kingdom of God.
Joe: That's a wild image!
Bible Expert: Yes, it is. Then Jesus talks about how anyone who gives up something for the sake of the Kingdom of God will be rewarded in the afterlife.
Joe: That's really inspiring.
Bible Expert: Yes, it is. Finally, Jesus talks about how some of his disciples are not worthy of him, and he warns them against leading others astray.
