Peter: Alright, so the chapter starts off with Joshua gathering all the tribes of Israel together and reminding them of God's faithfulness. He's like, "Y'all remember when God got you out of Egypt, and then he helped you defeat the kings of Canaan, and then you took all their land?".

Brian: Yeah, and then God provided them with food, and he even sent down manna from heaven.

Peter: Right, so then Joshua is like, "Okay, so now you have to decide who you're gonna serve - God or the false gods of your ancestors." And the people are like, "We're gonna serve God!"

Lois: Oh yeah, and then Joshua makes a covenant with them, saying that if they break their agreement with God then God will punish them.

Chris: But then the people still decide to serve God and make a total commitment to him.

Stewie: And then Joshua says something like, "Choose today who you're going to serve - whether it's the gods of your ancestors or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

Peter: Right, so then the people all say they will serve God, and Joshua makes a memorial stone to remind them of their commitment.
