So, Jeremiah chapter 31, it starts with the Lord saying he will give Israel a new covenant, one not like the covenant he made with their ancestors when he brought them out of Egypt. Then, we get an image of a shepherd looking for his lost sheep, and then the Lord saying he will bring his people back from exile, and they will be fruitful and increase in number. Then, the Lord promises to be their God, and they will be his people, and he will forgive their sins and remember them no more. Finally, the chapter ends with a song of joy and hope for the future. Ya know, things are gonna get better. So, if you're a fan of optimism, give Jeremiah 31 a read.
