Welcome to Weekend Update, I'm your host Norm MacDonald.

In Jeremiah 47, we get a look at the prophecy of doom for the Philistines. God warns that the Philistines will be destroyed by the Babylonians and their cities will be laid to waste. God even says that their "fish will die from lack of water," which is a pretty serious threat. But it looks like the Philistines don't take the warning seriously because they're still partying, drinking, and even calling for their god to help them. Well, good luck with that.

But that's not all. We also get a glimpse of God's plan for the Moabites. He's going to bring destruction upon them and their cities will be plundered. He even tells them to "run for your lives!" If that isn't a sign of impending doom, I don't know what is.

Finally, we get a look at God's justice. He says that he will punish all those who oppress the helpless and will bring judgment upon them.

So, when it comes to God's wrath, it looks like the Philistines and the Moabites are in for it. Better hope for a miracle, guys.
