Listen, Jack, here's the deal, Isaiah 44 tells us about God's power and his promise to his people. He says, "No malarkey, no other gods before me," and he's not joking. Literally, he says, "I'm the one and only God; I made the world and no one else did." My father used to say, "God's got your back," and here we see that for sure. See here, Jack, God promises to rescue his people from their enemies, so what was that? C'mon, man, no other god can do that!

He also tells us that he will restore the fortunes of his people, so you know, it's not gonna happen that they stay in slavery or captivity. I tell you what, he says, "I will pour out my spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants." Excuse me, he promises that all their troubles will be gone, and that they'll never be forgotten. Folks, it's a promise: God will be with his people, and they'll be blessed forever.
