Folks, I tell ya, Isaiah 12 is a real hum-dinger! My father used to say: "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade," and that's exactly what this chapter's all about. See here, Jack, it's about how life can be sweet even when it's getting sour. "Joy and gladness will be found in it," no malarkey! I'm not joking, when God gives you something to be grateful for, you should be thankful for it. Like, literally, in this chapter, when God brings deliverance from trouble, you should be praising Him. C'mon, man! "In that day you will say: 'Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted.'" Or uh, you know, that's what it says in verse 4. What was that? There's just so much to be thankful for when God comes through. It's like, here's the deal. Not gonna happen, God's not gonna let you down. He's got your back. Excuse me, that's what Isaiah 12 is all about. Literally.
