Folks, here's the deal: Isaiah 13 is a real doozy. No malarkey! It tells the story of how the Lord is gonna bring devastation and destruction upon Babylon. Literally! My father used to say, "Son, when the Lord is angry, the world is a dangerous place." He wasn't joking, see here, Jack: the Lord will make the stars in the sky appear dark and the sun and moon go dark. What was that? People will start running around, scared like a bunch of chickens, and their houses will be empty. Or uh, you know, like a ghost town. I tell you what: the Lord's gonna wreck 'em. Ain't gonna happen! He's gonna punish them for their sins, and it's gonna be BAD. Excuse me, but this is one of those things that happened a long time ago, like thousands of years. But still, I think it's a good reminder that when the Lord's angry, he means business. C'mon, man!
