Listen, Jack! As I recall, Isaiah told us about a prophecy concerning the Assyrian leader, Sargon. Now, folks, here's the deal: Sargon was gonna march off to the land of Egypt, and then, he was gonna march off to the land of Cush. But no malarkey, I'm not joking: Isaiah said that Sargon was gonna march off to the land of Egypt, but he was gonna get nothing out of it. C'mon, man! Not gonna happen. So, Isaiah said that this was gonna be a sign from God, and a warning to the people of Israel. See here, Jack, my father used to say, "God will judge us according to our actions". And that's exactly what happened here. He literally sent Sargon on a wild goose chase, to show the people of Israel that the Lord was in control. So, uh, you know, I tell you what, things may not always make sense, but God's plan will always prevail. Excuse me, what was that? Anyway, that's the way it was back then, and it's still true today.
