Batman: Robin, do you know what this passage in Isaiah 44 is all about?

Robin: Of course, Batman! It’s about the Lord being the only God and Creator, and that no one else can compare to him.

Batman: That's right, Robin! The Lord says that he alone made the heavens and the earth, and that no one can predict the future or control fate.

Catwoman: (Entering) That may be true, but I don't think the Lord has anything on me!

Batman: Catwoman, the Lord is powerful and wise. He calls out to his people and tells them that he will be with them forever, and that he will bring them back from captivity.

Robin: And he encourages them to remember their past and their history, so they don't forget what he has done for them.

Joker: (Laughing maniacally) What good will remembering the past do them? They're doomed!

Batman: Joker, you're wrong. The Lord is so powerful that he can make things out of nothing, like a carpenter making a chair. He can create new things out of nothing!

Robin: That's right, Batman! And he's so powerful that he can even turn things around and make them right again, like making a desert bloom.

Penguin: That's all well and good, but why should we believe in this Lord?

Batman: Penguin, the Lord is the only one who can make such amazing things happen. He's the only one who can bring salvation and hope, and that's why we should trust in him.
