Listen, Jack, no malarkey here. Ezekiel 8 is all about the Lord taking the prophet to Jerusalem to show him the awful sins of the people. It's like, literally, the Lord's way of saying, "Here's the deal, folks: you can't keep doing this kind of stuff and expect to get away with it."

My father used to say, "God will not be mocked," and he's right. The Lord shows Ezekiel an image of a woman worshipping the sun, which is just the kind of thing that God hates. There's also a whole bunch of idols in the Temple, and God's just like, "What was that?!" See here, Jack, He's really mad.

But it doesn't end there. There are all these little creatures called cherubim that are running around, and the Lord is like, "Or uh, you know, you guys have got to stop doing this." Not gonna happen. I tell you what, folks, the Lord is seriously ticked off and He's ready to punish the people for their sins. Excuse me, but He's not joking.
