Joe: Alright, so what have we got in Ezekiel 8?
Bible Expert: Ezekiel 8 is about God's judgment on Jerusalem. God calls Ezekiel to the Temple and shows him a vision of all the terrible things that are happening inside. He sees images of idols and other forms of idolatry, as well as the people worshipping them.
Joe: Oh wow! That sounds pretty serious. So what did God do about it?
Bible Expert: God is very angry and he commands Ezekiel to prophesy against the people in the Temple. He then instructs Ezekiel to go to the door of the Temple and mark the foreheads of those who do not weep for the abominations he sees.
Joe: Whoa, that's intense! So what happened next?
Bible Expert: After Ezekiel marks the foreheads of those who do not weep, God commands him to bring forth six men with weapons to execute the idolaters. He then sends a great cloud of judgment on the city.
Joe: That's wild! So what happened in the end?
Bible Expert: In the end, the Lord's glory departs from the Temple and Ezekiel is taken up to heaven. The Lord tells Ezekiel that he will not forgive the people of Jerusalem for their sins and that he will bring his wrath upon them.
